The proposal is for a yacht that can provide unique experiences to the owner’s family and friends. It can be used for enjoyment as well as for scientific and learning purposes.
The owner is a man looking for new ways to enjoy his time with his family and friends. It’s very important for the family to be together in privacy and enjoy special moments aboard. An entire deck has been designed solely for the family, with a common family room for dining and lounging in privacy.
Retractable glass surrounds all external pathways to create an enclosed area. The climate in these spaces can be adjusted to allow people to move around in comfort without heavy clothes during cold cruises. The exterior spaces are equipped with fire pits, making them much more attractive in extreme cold.
Icebreaker
One of the owner’s wishes is to explore extremely remote parts of the world. The vessel can not only reach arctic regions, but can also break through ice for passage to isolated areas. Vehicles can be deployed directly onto the ice surface for land exploration.
Research platform
Supporting ocean research has been one of the owner’s favorite contributions to society. With that in mind, the layout incorporates enough space for a lab, equipment and an aquarium for live specimens. A submarine for 5 people and LARC-5 amphibious vehicle are also planned to further support exploration.
Learning experience
Because the family believes in home schooling, several months a year aboard pose no obstacle to the children’s education. A study room was designed to provide an appropriate space for learning with private tutors. Also, the kids can experience ongoing research and learn from the scientists on board.
